Hello Warwick Memorial United Methodist Church,
My name is Jason, and I have been given the distinctive honor of serving as your new assistant pastor! I wanted to take a moment to say hello and introduce myself before I officially join you at Warwick Memorial.
The more I learn about the church, the more excited I am to join you all. It’s already very clear to me that this is a community with a great deal of life, care, and thoughtful leadership, and I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to become part of it. I’m especially looking forward to working with Pastor Sarah and learning from the people who have helped shape Warwick Memorial into the church it is today.
A little about me: I grew up in Montana and served four churches there as a licensed local pastor before attending Duke Divinity School. Before ministry, I worked in computer programming. I’ve always loved asking questions about the world around us, whether that means theology, science, creation, or simply trying to better understand people and the stories they carry with them. I’ve always found that faith and science tend to deepen and illuminate one another in fascinating ways.
Outside of church life, I enjoy coding, gaming, skiing, tennis, gardening, and conversations that drift from the deeply serious to abject absurdity.
More than anything, though, I’m looking forward to meeting all of you. I want to hear your stories, learn what matters to you, and become part of the shared life of the church and community. From everything I’ve seen so far, the Spirit is already moving with purpose at Warwick Memorial, and I’m grateful for the chance to join in that work alongside all of you.
I’m excited to meet you all soon!
Grace and peace,
Pastor Jason
