Warwick Memorial United Methodist Church had to raise $5,000 to host this impactful meal packing event. Through many generous donations, we have not only met, but exceeded our fundraising goal!!! (All extra donations will be put towards our 2026 Rise Against Hunger event.)
We had 104 volunteers working together to make these meal kits that have such a positive impact on others’ lives. Thank you for recognizing a need and for being part of the solution. We hope you had a fun and meaningful time!
Special Recognition:
If you have ever been to a Rise Against Hunger meal packing event, then you will know the importance of the gong. Every time a thousand meal kits are completed, someone (usually a kid) gets to come up and hit the gong!
Hearing that gong puts an electric buzz in the air as you get a tangible sense for how many meal kits you have assembled so far and it helps you keep track of how many are left to go.
That motivation and electric energy that hearing the gong during the Rise Against Hunger event gives you and the whole room is part of the reason why the following is so cool.
Warwick Memorial United Methodist Church was awarded our very own miniature gong in recognition of packing a Quarter Million meals with Rise Against Hunger (to date)!
Such an incredible honor! What an impressive impact!
You can bet that we will be using this gong in all sorts of celebratory ways throughout the year and we will likely have it out during our next meal packing event which will take place April 18th, 2026!
